I work near Boulder Highway and Sahara, and since construction finally finished there, there is a left turn lane that now has two left turn lights but only one lane!

Yes, this is only one turn lane, but because of the confusing lane striping, drivers are trying to make it a double turn lane.
Donna cites this as a danger area, as unforgiving folks aren’t always willing to wait their turn in this single line, with a double dose of cars.
I reached out to NDOT.
They quickly got traffic drums from Las Vegas Paving, and put those in for turning traffic, in order to close the inside left-turn lane from Boulder Highway turning to head east onto Sahara Avenue. That ends that confusion.
The inside left-turn lane heading west was also closed for Las Vegas Electric’s use for construction.
These cones and closures temporarily end the confusion, but I am still in contact with NDOT, and through them….with Las Vegas Paving, Jacobs Engineering and the RTC, as to what the future plan will be for this turn.
Hopefully, it’s consistent clarity for this turn lane.
I’m hoping this’ll just restripe and reline it.
For now, we were able to get a quick fix.
