What’s with the long waits on northbound Las Vegas Blvd. at Flamingo? I notice construction at Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall. Is that the reason? Can they adjust the lights?

Not just the work at Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall – there’s also the Linq project – in the same area! Construction is wrapping up on the Linq project; it only has another 40 days.
But, Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall work is just getting started, and will be underway for another year.
So we know this area is lousy with cones, closures, and lane restrictions all the way north to the Mirage, but RTC FAST and Clark County did look to see if adjustments can be made.
What they both found with these two projects under construction at the same time is that not much can be done.
There’s a bottleneck north of Flamingo, and increasing green light time would only back up traffic into the intersection.
The traffic signal timing is operating at capacity, and there is no room to make adjustments.
Best advice for motorists is to avoid the intersection of Las Vegas Blvd. and Flamingo altogether, at least until Linq is completed.
If you have to drive here, add time and expect delays.
