Every day there are people that exit the Henderson DMV onto American Pacific and immediately make a U-Turn at the end of the median with a “No U-Turn sign posted right there!
What can be done to help stop this conflict?

This is drivers leaving the DMV….where you get licensed to drive!
I guess this is evidence bad driving happens everywhere!
My first thought was checking the signage with City of Henderson to see if an additional, or a larger sign, would be helpful.
But, we were able to see the sign is clear, letting drivers know as they approach the end of that median, they are not allowed to make a U-Turn. The City confirmed they did take a look, and found the sign to be…”very visible.”
This creates two conflicts with drivers exiting the DMV, crossing lanes of traffic to get over to make the illegal U-Turn, cutting off eastbound traffic. And then when making the U-Turn, they cut off traffic on westbound American Pacific.
Here’s our two ways to try and improve this.
Since so many at the DMV need to get back to the 215, my advice is exit directly onto Stephanie, and avoid American Pacific altogether.
We have also contacted Henderson Police to put this down as an area and issue for increased enforcement.
