A couple weeks back the City’s traffic department worked on the lights at the intersection of North Main Street and Owens Avenue.
]They did a bang-up job!!
We now have no left turn signal at all in either direction on Main Street. Can you fix this?
Duane
Duane’s email is dripping with sarcasm, of course. You can hear his frustration.
I can’t fix it myself, but the City can.
Here’s what I learned….a couple of weeks ago the traffic signal at Main and Owens started randomly flashing red.
The City found that there was defective wiring in the conduit causing a problem for left-turn arrows.
So what they did is omit the left-turn arrows between the time they determined what the problem was, and the pulling of the new cable.
So you clearly drove there, Duane, during that time window when it was being worked on.
During this period, no left-turn arrows were displayed.
But….since the new cable was installed last week, left-turn arrows have been working again.
Additionally Tuesday evening, a technician verified the proper operation of the traffic signal. All cars making left turns were detected, and the arrow was operational when a vehicle was present in left-turn pockets.
This one is fixed.
